Bathroom breaks are about to get a lot more fun—and convenient. This week, toilet paper brand Charmin *rolled* out three never-before-seen prototypes at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, as part of their GoLab showcase. While you might think you've mastered the whole "going to the bathroom" thing by now, once you get a whiff of what Charmin has been working on, you'll never want to enter a bathroom unaware of the C02 and H2S levels (read: poo-smell levels) ever again! Even if it's farmhouse styled like these beauts.

Please let me explain.

When designing these "experiments," as the brand refers to them, Charmin focused on improving the bathroom experience from start to flush, says the press release. One common hardship I'm sure we've all dealt with is having to endure the odor the previous potty user left behind. Pee-ew, right? That's why Charmin came up with SmellSense, an electronic sensor monitoring system that assesses the current bathroom stench in real time to notify users when it's 'safe' to enter. This life-saving gizmo is calibrated to detect the carbon dioxide or hydrogen sulfide found in a toot or a Number 2. With an LED screen for easy reference, it will either display "ENJOY THE GO" when the air is fresh and pure, or "WAIT IT OUT" if the air has traces of stank.

Another problem I'm sure we all can relate to is the tedious task of changing the toilet paper roll when it runs out. It's probably the most annoying thirty-second chore in the world, and even more awful when you're already camped out on the bowl and notice the roll is out or getting low. But what if you could have toilet paper delivered to you? Enter RollBot, a heroic bear bot, controlled via smartphone using bluetooth technology, that will come to your rescue with a new roll when prompted. In the post below, watch as this little guy exits his little station when duty calls (literally).

Finally, the last experiment presented was the V.I.Pee, a luxury porta-potty experience. Picture this: You're at a concert and you have to take a leak—but you're desperate not to miss any of the show. Thanks to V.I.Pee, you can relieve yourself while continuing to watch the performance from the inside of the porta-potty. Enhanced with Oculus Rift S VR technology, this handy potty includes VR goggles and a sound system that will transport users right where the action is (while they take care of business).
